But then they look at you like this.
Moose and Paris

And all is forgiven.

Again.

And Again.

And Again.

I don't want to point fingers or place blame on our worst offender, but we're thinking of renaming Paris.

Marley?  Hooch?  Beethoven?  Free to good home?

Any takers?

  1. LOL! Only if you take my ancient cat who has a penchant for urinating on furniture and rugs. Aside from this slight personality flaw she really is the sweetest cat. Sounds fair, right? ;-)

  7. I know the look well. It always works on us. The big male boxer, Sherman (named b/c of the tank, we had an inkling early) ate our couch when he was young and now, every year we MUST buy a new screen door. Last year, we bought one twice. But, then he looks at us like THAT and well, I love that dog. So, I'm sorry about all the destruction but you are the focus of all that love:-)

  8. My dog got renamed "drop kick him in to the canal" after he decided to scent our bed.

    Commiserations.

Lucky for our respective mutts that they are so good to have around when we are feeling down.

  9. BWAHAHAHA!!!! I have to say my Marley helped to balance out that name a little, as she wasn't destructive. Maverick, on the other hand, hit a few points on your list and made many of his own! He still does at 13... Ha!

Your fur babes are super cute. I couldn't be mad either :) Good luck!!

  10. I've always loved the name Hooch since the movie came out. Love it! Sorry they are destroying things though. It drives me nuts when my pooches do that.

  11. Can I add a small chapter for the Labs: How to vomit six (6) packages of unpopped popcorn down a floor heater - Butter packets swallowed hole.

Ugh, forgiven again and again is SO right. Even as I relive that story about Parker, I can't help but love the 80lb ball of fur sleeping two feet away from me (with his eyes open) at the foot of my bed. Crazy mut.

    Great post.

  12. Are you in California? A fellow blogger mentioned an infant available for adoption...

  13. Oh my! I have two boxers and while they don't have half the size to boast they have that same over adventurous personality that often gets them in trouble for destroying things and that same super cute look that quickly gets them out of trouble after the deed is done.

Also, thanks for stopping by and saying 'hello' on my blog. It is always good to hear from fellow engineers in the adopting and bloggy worlds! My aunt that inspired me to be an engineer with her super sweet t-top '86 Corvette is an aeronautical engineer as well. I'm a water lovin', civil, though.

Hope everything goes well for you on your adoption journey. I will most certainly be reading along :)

  15. Oh my!!! We lost ONE mattress to the hounds and that was enough for me. Um...had we experienced a mattress removal Volume FOUR, we might not have said hounds. ;) Those are some ridiculously loveable mugs, though. I can see how they could be forgiven again...and again...and again.

  16. OMG! You need to have a warning on this post to NOT be drinking anything when reading it. I just about sprayed my tea all over my work keyboard.
